Reopening Of Colleges And Academies: College Association Announces The Final Decision
All Pakistan Colleges and Academies Association (APCAA) comes with its final decision regarding the reopening of colleges and academies. According to this decision, all the colleges and academies across the country will reopen from the next month.
Colleges Reopening Press Conference
Rana Ansar, The Chairman of APCAA, during a press conference that is held at the Stars College on Lower Mall Road Lahore, declared that all the colleges across the country will resume from January, 1st, 2021. It was discussed that the closure of the colleges from across the country is not only resulting in the education loss of the students. But, the owners of the private sector educational institutes are also bearing a loss of millions worth.
The Chairman assured the government and parents that on the reopening of the colleges the Corona SOPs will be implemented and followed strictly. However, during the press conference, it was also demanded by the APCAA to the government to convert the electricity connections of the private educational institutes from residential to commercial.
2nd Lockdown Of Educational Institutes
The Inter Provincial Education Ministers Conference (IPEMC) had decided to close the schools, colleges, academies, and universities from across the country to contain the spread of the Covid-19. The second lockdown of the education institutes was enforced on November 23rd, 2020. It was also decided that the educational institutes will remain closed until January 10th, 2021.
However, the final decision regarding the reopening of the educational institutes will be announced by IPEMC during the first week of January. The decision will be based on the report of the overall situation of the coronavirus. The decision will be finalized under the light of the recommendations from the National Command and Operation Centre, NCOC.
