Educational Institutes Will Remain Open In Punjab, Says The Provincial Ministry

Today on November 16th, 2020 a conference, regarding the closure of educational institutes, at the provincial level is held. All provincial education ministers attended this conference and a discussion on prevailing Covid-19 condition has been done. During this meeting or conference, it was decided that the schools and all other educational institutes will remain open until the final decision by the government.

However, it was also decided that the next meeting would be held on November 23rd, 2020, and until the next meeting the government would take the complete review on the current Coivd-19 situation and the final decision would be done after reviewing carefully the current situation. The Punjab education minister, Dr. Murad Raas announced this decision through his Twitter account and he further added that all options are being discussed and no immediate decision has taken for now.

Strategies To Contain The Spread

Through his last Twitter on Sunday, November 15th, 2020, Dr. Murad Raas announced that no educational institutes will close, and instead of shutting down all the educational institutes, the government will enforce smart lockdown under certain circumstances. Students and parents are advised not to concentrate on the fake news circulating on social media and other platforms regarding the closing of educational institutes.
