AIOU To Provide Skill-Based Training For CPEC
The Allama Iqbal Open University has announced to provide skill-based training for CPEC. AIOU will join hands with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to train the youth. The Vice-Chancellor of AIOU said that under this project, the university has designed many specific courses so that youth can be trained by considering the requirements of the industrial zones so that they can easily look for the relevant jobs and make their career. He further added that this is very important to engage the local people and the university has been preparing for the various courses to educate the youth.
Skill Based Training
The VC said that it is very significant to promote skill-based education and in this regard, many special courses are offered by AIOU such as computer, tractor repairing, poultry, and farming so that technical training can be provided to the people and they can earn their livelihood. The university has also offered courses in tailoring and embroidery to train the girls of the area of Gilgit Baltistan. Moreover, the university offers courses to all people irrespective of their age, gender, or social status. There is no age bar to get an education from the Allama Iqbal Open University. The AIOU has been playing a significant role to promote education by taking various initiatives such as free education is being provided to the transgender community, jail inmates, and also children of martyrs. Besides this fee concession is also offered to the orphans and poor students.
It is informed to the students that the admission process has been divided into various phases for the convenience of the students. The candidates have to submit the online application form for the offered degree programs. The candidates have to meet the mentioned admission criteria in order to secure admission to the offered courses. Furthermore, the university also sends the papers to the regional offices for marking in order to reduce the burden on the main campus. With the technological advancements, the university has also introduced the concept of smart classrooms for the students.
